M. Aftab Alam holds a Bachelors of Engineering in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Ryerson University, a Bachelors in law , LL.B, and a Masters in law, LL.M from Osgoode Hall Law School. Aftab has been accredited by the ADR Institute of Canada as well as ADR Institute of Ontario as a Qualified Arbitrator (Q.Arb) and Qualified Mediator (Q.Med). His technical expertise, legal education and mediation and arbitration training makes him uniquely qualified to be a Personal Injury Lawyer.
Aftab has acquired significant work experience in Personal Injury Law. He has been working at Alam Law Firm for several years in Personal Injury. He attends matters related to Accident Benefits and tort law related to motor vehicle accidents, Occupier’s Liability, product liability and professional negligence. He is the team leader for Accident Benefits Departments at Alam Law Firm. He routinely appears before Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT), Small Claims Court and Superior Court of Justice. As Managing Barrister, he is now the team leader for both Accident Benefit and Tort Department.
He is a member of Law Society of Ontario, Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) and Canadian South Asian Lawyers Association (CASAL). He is also a member of the ADR Institute of Canada and ADR Institute of Ontario. He is also a member of Brian Injury Association of Peel and Halton (BIAPH) and a Member of Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA).
When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys music and traveling. He is active in sports like Cricket.
